OVP Foundation for Healthier Communities works throughout the Appalachian Region to meet individuals and families where they are. We provide compassionate support, practical resources, and meaningful opportunities that remove barriers and create pathways to lasting stability.
When an individual or family becomes newly housed, they may enter a space without the basic items needed to live safely and comfortably. Young adults leaving foster care and stepping into independent living may face the same challenge as they begin building a life of their own.
Being able to respond when these needs arise is an important part of our mission. We want every person we serve to know that they do not have to begin this next chapter alone. The need may be a household item, a small appliance, or essential cleaning and hygiene products. Each time we help meet one of these needs, we create greater comfort, offer encouragement, and help build a stronger foundation for the future.
